The Center for Global Health and Innovation is committed to the development and translation of cutting edge research into medical devices and diagnostics. To accomplish this goal, the center works with a wide network of academics, researchers, commercial partners and government entities. Part of our mission is to transform discovery into meaningful products to improve global health and well-being throughout the continuum of care.
Currently we are working with partners to create modalities of care integrating the latest advancements in bio-informatics, home health care, and diagnostics into systems which empower the individual to manage their own health and well-being with the assistance of skilled health-care providers.
Additionally, the center in conjunction with Philips Healthcare provide a corporate sponsorship to Texas A&M’s Center for Remote Health Technologies and Systems’ National Science Foundation (NSF) Engineering Research Center (ERC) on Precise Advanced Technologies and Health Systems for Underserved Populations (PATHS-UP). This effort provides collaborative opportunities between faculty and students with industry partners.
